The Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community of scholars and citizens committed to serving diverse populations. We actively embrace individual, group, and social differences to promote equity, accessibility, and excellence for all.
As educators, counselors, and leaders, we are driven by a deep passion for inclusivity, which is the driving force behind our mission to positively impact the lives of those we serve. We firmly believe that our community thrives through open and respectful sharing of ideas, knowledge, and experiences, all of which contribute to the greater good.
Every member of our community is valued, and we are steadfast in our commitment to advancing research, practice, and policy in counseling, education, human and organizational development for all participants, at all levels, and across diverse locations.

Maxine Greene, the noted philosopher of arts, aesthetics, and democracy in education, observed: "Justice, equality, freedom - these are as important to us as the arts, and we believe they can infuse each other, perhaps making some difference at a troubled time."

As the academic year draws to a close, let's come together to recognize our achievements and shared experiences. GSEHD's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee invites students, faculty, and staff to an End-of-the-Year Social with food, music, and great company. We hope this will serve as an occasion to gather as a community and celebrate each other before final exams and graduation.
Come as you are and stay for as long as you can. Family and friends are welcome as well!
