Wigginton's book explores motherhood, friendship and America’s racial reckoning.

GSEHD doctoral student Catherine Wigginton Greene, (EdD, Curriculum and Instruction) has co-authored a new novel, Rebecca, Not Becky, with Christine Platt. They recently launched the book at an event at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in downtown Washington, D.C. They will be going on tour with their book starting in mid-December.

Rebecca, Not Becky is about two upper-class stay-at-home mothers—one white, one Black—living in a 'perfect' suburb that explores motherhood, friendship, and the true meaning of sisterhood amidst the backdrop of America’s all-too-familiar racial reckoning.
