Dr. Jarrett became full-time faculty in 1994 after serving as an adjunct clinical professor in Special Education and Disability Studies while working in the Department of Neonatology at the George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Jarrett served as Lead Faculty of the Early Childhood Special Education Program throughout her 16 years at GSEHD and consistently received tuition support grants for master’s level students from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
Throughout her career, Dr. Jarrett pursued her interest in early intervention with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities and their families both in her master’s and doctoral teaching and through collaborative research with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
