Dr. Maria Coyle
Maria Coyle, Ph.D., LPC, is Associate Program Director at the George Washington University Online High School (GWUOHS), where she provides academic and administrative leadership focused on student success and helps foster a collaborative, student-centered online learning community. Her professional interests include counseling and counselor education, student development, social-emotional learning, educational leadership, and online education.
Dr. Coyle's career spans counseling, counselor education, K–12 education leadership, and higher education. At GWUOHS, she previously served as Dean of Faculty and Students and as a School and College Counselor before assuming her current role as Associate Program Director. She began her work at GW as a research assistant and later taught graduate-level counseling students at George Washington University and Augusta University.
Dr. Coyle earned a Ph.D. in Counseling from the George Washington University, an M.A. in Counseling and School Counseling from Montclair State University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. She is licensed as a professional counselor and school counselor.
