A Partnership with Charles County (MD) Public Schools
The Educational Leadership & Administration (ELA) program prepares aspiring educational leaders for equity-centered leadership roles as a principal, mid-level administrator, and instructional supervisor in school districts, national organizations, and beyond. Convenient and flexible hybrid classes for the Master's and Post-Master’s Certificate in Charles County will include meetings that are held online and other meetings that are held on-site at a designated CCPS location.
Candidates who pursue admission to the CCPS cohort will engage in coursework and high-quality internships that build their capacities in equitable leadership while being committed to creating supportive and inclusive communities by engaging knowledge and tools to integrate theory into practice in their profession and county focus on local issues.
Streamlined Time to Completion
The cohort offered and accelerated part-time program/s allow students to earn their graduate certificate in as little as 12 months or a degree in 15 months.
Tradition of Excellence
For 30+ years, our faculty, who are research productive and possess extensive professional and practitioner experience at the local, state, national and international levels, have prepared students for leadership roles in PreK-12 education.

Master's Degree
If you are seeking a master's degree or hold a master's in a different subject, have at least one year teaching experience, and are interested in advancing your skills in ELA, you might consider our Master's program.
Post-Master's Certificate
If you currently hold a master's degree, have at least one year of teaching experience, and are interested in advancing your skills in ELA, you might consider the Post-Master's Certificate. Upon successful completion, if additional requirements are met, you may have the opportunity to transfer the certificate credit hours toward the EdS in ELA degree.
Our advanced graduate programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and recognized by the National Policy Board for Educational Administration (NPBEA). The ELA master's degree and post-master's certificate programs include courses and internship experiences designed to meet the academic requirements and eligibility for administrative certification/licensure in the District of Columbia.
