The Maryland Association of Teacher Educators recognizes Elementary Education's Carrie Willimann, Class of 2020, as GW's "Distinguished Teacher Candidate" among other outstanding new teachers selected from area universities. This award has been established to recognize and honor those teacher candidates whose work in a clinical environment shows a commitment to student learning and to the practice of reflective, responsive teaching. An awards brunch is scheduled for fall semester.
