Dr. Reyna Smith is the Assistant Director of the Community Counseling Services Center at Foggy Bottom where she manages daily operations as well as supervising counseling interns. In 2021, she was selected to be a Doctoral Fellow for the NBCC Minority Fellowship Program, which focuses on strengthening the infrastructure that engages diverse individuals in counseling and increasing the number of professional counselors providing effective, culturally competent services to underserved and never-served populations.
With a history of working in community mental health, university counseling, and private practice, Dr. Smith proves to be an experienced clinician who is both client and student-focused. Her work as a supervisor reflects her passion for preparing counseling interns to become multiculturally competent and to center social justice and antiracism within their professional identity.
