Barbara is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Her clinical experience consists primarily of work in college counseling clinics, eating disorder treatment centers, and private practice. She has experience in individual, couples, family, and group counseling, as well as community outreach. The majority of her work has focused on adolescents and emerging adults. She also serves as a supervisor to clinical mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, and school counseling graduate students. Her research and clinical interests include disordered eating; emerging adulthood; self-worth & self-concept; Latina identity development; religious trauma; and counselor training.
