Dr. Scully-Russ named Founding Chair of AAACE's Public Affairs Committee

Dr. Ellen Scully-Russ was named the founding Chair of the American Association of Adult and Continuing Education's (AAACE) new Public Affairs Committee. The charge to the committee is to bring the collective expertise of AAACE members to bear on issues of social importance and inform public debate on through rigorous research and our professional understanding of effective practice. The committee will be responsible for: commissioning Position Papers based on members' research and practice; recommending for endorsement Position Papers issued by other organizations; organizing an annual National Public Policy Forum; and other outreach activities, which may include but are not limited to: interviews (as interviewer or interviewee), op-ed pieces, blog posts, social media outreach and other means of communicating with the public.
