Dr. Brian Casemore, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Pedagogy, has been awarded the esteemed Edith Sabshin Teaching Award by the American Psychoanalytic Association. This national honor recognizes educators who have made exceptional contributions to teaching psychoanalytic thought to students outside of formal psychoanalytic training.
Nominated by the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP), Dr. Casemore was recognized for his dedication to integrating psychoanalytic concepts into education and mentoring psychoanalytic scholars in the WBCP's Psychoanalytic Studies Program and GSEHD's Curriculum and Instruction Program.
The Edith Sabshin Teaching Award is given annually to up to 10 educators who are recommended by local psychoanalytic societies and institutes for their outstanding service in education.
