GSEHD Student, Casey Roberts, Honored with Educator of the Year Award at Virginia Tech

GSEHD doctoral student Casey M. Roberts (Educational Administration and Policy Studies) has received the Educator of the Year Award from his undergraduate alma mater, Virginia Tech, as part of their Influential Black Alumni Awards. This award recognizes an alumnus/na who has contributed significantly to the field of education. Mr. Roberts is the executive Director of New Horizons Regional Education Centers, the largest of nine regional centers in the Commonwealth. In his role, he serves over 15,000 public school students and 1,200 adult learners each year, providing programming, adult training/apprenticeships, and youth workforce initiatives.
