Counseling Faculty and Doc Students Receive 2022 Qualitative Article of the Year Award

Dr. Mina Attia, Dr. Bagmi Das, and counseling doctoral students Shiyu Tang, Hanyun Li, and Yuqing Qiu, received the 2022 Qualitative Article of the Year Award for their publication, “Pre- and Post-Migration Experiences of LGBTQ+ Asylum-Seeking Individuals: A Phenomenological Investigation,” in the Journal of LGBTQ Issues in Counseling. The award was presented at the 2023 American Counseling Association Conference in Toronto, CA by the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities.
