Request for Dissertation Oral Examination

You must submit the following form in full. You will be required to upload:

Dissertation Approval Form
CVs of any committee members or examiners who are not current GW faculty members
Your completed dissertation
The name of your presider, who must be a GSEHD faculty member (not your chair). If nobody on your committee meets that qualification, you may select a sixth person to serve as the non-voting presider. You may also select a non-voting presider if you would like to involve a faculty member who is not on your committee.

A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.

Please Note: All materials must be submitted in full at least 30 days before your dissertation defense. If your submission is incomplete, we will not be able to schedule your defense and may have to ask you to pick a different date to meet the 30-day deadline.

In addition, please submit your application to graduate before your defense.
