Human and Organizational Learning (HOL) Faculty, Students & Alumni Present at AHRD International Conference

The Human and Organizational Learning (HOL) Department’s faculty, students, and alumni presented and were recognized for their scholarship at the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) International Conference held in Arlington, VA, February 19-22. Many published their work in the peer-reviewed conference proceedings.

Dr. Maria Cseh, Dr. Yoshie Nakamura, and Dr. Sarah Ray had 16 presentations and publications individually and in collaboration with colleagues, Organizational Leadership and Learning (OLL) masters students (Emma Duke and Fern Zaky), HOL doctoral students and candidates (Josef Javier Ayala, Rebecca Burns, Nicole Campbell, Zhuqing Ding, Theresa Hernandez, Jessica Hinshaw, Katherine Kinnaird, Haoshen Liang, Ryan Llyod, Ying Lu, Daphne Pee) and alumni (Malikah Alturki, Neenia Barlatt-Higgins, Chilanay Safarli, Andrea Richards Scott, Joanna Sztandur, Anna Marie Siegel, Sherry Teague). HOL doctoral student Fouad Elzaatari and Mishael Spears, doctoral candidate Abdullah Clark, and alumnus Corey Adams also presented and published their work, while Ph.D. student Mengying Cao served as a session facilitator.

Jerry Rhoads, HOL doctoral program candidate, was an invited panelist in the conference’s opening Town Hall Forum: “Artificial Intelligence and Human Resources: New Frontiers and Recent Developments.”

HOL doctoral program alumni Dr. Oliver Crocco, Louisiana State University; Dr. Jamie Callahan, Durham University, UK; Dr. Nicole Dillard, University of Minnesota; Dr. Robin Hurst, Virginia Commonwealth University; Dr. Nisha Manikoth, Hood College; Dr. Katie Rosenbusch, George Mason University; and Dr. Johanna Sweet, Roanoke College, represented their alma mater with several individual and collaborative presentations of their work.
