Three GSEHD alumni are among the newest members of the highly selective Wexner Davidson Fellowship, a leadership development and Jewish learning initiative that supports emerging leaders serving the North American Jewish community.

Among the incoming fellowship cohort are Rachel Sasiene and Or Shemer, both graduates of GSEHD's Israel Education program, and Rebecca Powell, a graduate of the Experiential Jewish Education program.

Notably, 20 percent of the incoming fellowship class earned their master's degrees through GW's graduate programs in Jewish education, underscoring the university's longstanding role in preparing leaders for the Jewish communal sector.

The Wexner Davidson Fellowship is designed for Jewish communal professionals between the ages of 26 and 36 and provides participants with opportunities for leadership development, Jewish learning, and professional growth. Through seminars, mentorship, and a national network of peers, fellows deepen their leadership capacity while exploring the challenges and opportunities facing Jewish communities today.

For Ms. Sasiene, Ms. Shemer, and Ms. Powell, the fellowship offers an opportunity to learn alongside some of the most promising rising professionals in the field. Their selection reflects both their accomplishments to date and their potential to help shape the future of Jewish education and communal life.
