Alumna Named Vice President of Literacy Programs and Research at Reading is Fundamental

Dr. Erin Bailey (EdD, Curriculum and Instruction) has been named Reading is Fundamental’s Vice President of Literacy Programs and Research. 

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) is the leading national literacy non-profit that brings the joy of reading to children across the United States. Dr. Bailey’s role at RIF includes serving as the subject matter expert and developing, curating, and managing literacy content and professional learning for educators and families.

Dr. Bailey has been an educator in U.S. and international classrooms, spanning from PreK-8 grades. She has served as a literacy specialist, English language learning specialist, and university instructor. Additionally, she designs curriculum and professional development for utilizing play-based learning to teach language and literacy to young children. Dr. Bailey has a robust and interdisciplinary research repertoire including learning through informal spaces such as public gardens, art museums, and social movements.
