GSEHD alumna Dr. Lamya Fawwaz (Ed.D., Higher Education Administration) has been named to the Board of Directors of the Arab International Women's Forum (AIWF). Dr. Fawwaz is the Executive Director of Brand and Strategic Initiatives at Masdar, director of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, and program director of the UAE-led Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) initiative, an institutional partner of AIWF since 2021.
On the appointment of Dr. Fawwaz to the AIWF Board, HE Mona Al Moayyed, Chair of the AIWF Executive Committee, said: "We are delighted to welcome Dr. Lamya Fawwaz to the Board of AIWF at such a pivotal time for AIWF. Dr. Lamya is an exceptional woman leader and a true inspiration to women aspiring to STEM and sustainability leadership in the Arab world and globally.
