Wed, 7 December, 2022 4:00pm - 5:15pm
The Ecology of Education | An annual series of lectures showcasing the innovative research of new and early career faculty at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development

This Ecology of Education lecture focuses on reviewing and discussing the role of saturation within qualitative research. Dr. Harvey Peters will include an (a) overview of the construct of saturation, (b) a presentation of the results from a recent grounded theory investigation concerning the processes and practices associated with saturation, and (c) an overview of implications.

The study informing this lecture included 23 counselor education and counseling psychologist researchers who guided the development of an abstracted theoretical model used to guide the process and practice of saturation. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A of saturation and the study's results to inform the future theorization and praxis of saturation within qualitative research.
