Multiple Marginalized Identities: Examining the Experiences of Bi-Racial, Bi-Sexual Students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Wed, 26 October, 2022 4:00pm - 5:15pm
The Ecology of Education | An annual series of lectures showcasing the innovative research of new and early career faculty at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development

Most people are simultaneously many people. Recent student affairs research has highlighted the tension in identity development theory with the emerging understanding of our post-secondary students as intersectional beings at all times at various stages of life development.

Building on the work of previous scholars who critique current models of Biracial-Bisexual identity development, Dr. Wright seeks to investigate the lived experiences of college students who self-identify as both Bi-sexual and Bi-Racial while attending an HBCU (Historically Black College and University).
