Dr. Kirk A. Nooks (Ed.D., Higher Education Administration) has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer for The Council on Occupational Education (COE), one of five national career-related accreditation agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The mission of COE is to ensure quality and integrity in career and technical education.
The newly named president has accreditation experience with the Higher Learning Commission, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Dr. Nooks has been the President of Gordon State University in Georgia since 2018.
