Dr. MK Curry is an Assistant Professor of Counseling and Human Development and Interim Director of the School Counseling program at the George Washington University. Her expertise and research is within clinical supervision, gatekeeping, and counselor pedagogy. Her research focuses on gatekeeping in counselor education, including how programs support and evaluate graduate students living with mental illness. Dr. Curry teaches master's and doctoral courses in supervision, internship, counseling skills, and professional orientation. She has co-chaired GW's Clinical Training Committee and served on its Professional Dispositions Committee. Before joining GW in 2024, she taught at William & Mary.
