Alumnus, Nicholas Kent, Named Under Secretary of Education at the U.S. Department of Education

Alumnus Nicholas Kent (master's, Higher Education Administration) has been confirmed as the new Under Secretary of Education at the U.S. Department of Education. As Under Secretary, Mr. Kent will oversee the Department’s postsecondary education, career, technical, and adult education, and federal student aid programs. Before joining the U.S. Department of Education, Mr. Kent served as Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia under Governor Glenn Youngkin.
