Human and Organizational Learning (HOL) Faculty, Students & Alumni Present at 2026 AHRD International Conference

Faculty, students and alumni of GSEHD's Department of Human and Organizational Learning (HOL) presented and were recognized for their scholarship at the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) International Conference held in Dallas, TX, February 11-14, and published their work in the peer-reviewed conference proceedings.

Alumna Dr. Nicole Dillard (Ed.D., Human and Organizational Learning), received the Elwood F. Holton III Research Excellence Award. Named after the first editor of Human Resource Development Review, it is awarded for the outstanding refereed article in each annual volume. Dr. Dillard now serves as an Assistant Professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Yoshie T. Nakamura collaborated with current students on two presentations. She partnered with Ying Lu to present "Examining Leader Identity Change via SEL Self-Reflection: A Repeated-Measures Study of MBA Students" and Katherine Kinnaird on "Examining Double Empathy in Neurodiverse Workplaces with a Focus on Autism."

Katherine Kinnaird, current doctoral student, also joined colleagues from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities to present "Critical Dis/ability: Driving an Engaged and Empowered Workforce."

Doctoral student Mishael Spears presented "Beyond The King: Confronting Constrained Narratives of Black Male Leadership in Contemporary Organizations."

HOL doctoral program alumni Dr. Corey Adams, Dr. Nisha Manikoth, Dr. Oliver Crocco, Dr. Nicole Dillard, Dr. Jamie Callahan and Dr. Katie Rosenbusch represented their alma mater with several individual and collaborative presentations of their work.
