Dr. Chris Stone (Ed.D., Educational Leadership) has been honored with the inaugural World Of Good Alumni award from Central College in Pella, Iowa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. The award recognizes alumni or friends of the college who have shown extraordinary commitment to community service through impactful volunteerism, acts of generosity and/or a sustained dedication to meaningful social causes.
With more than 25 years of experience in education, Dr. Stone serves as the Director of Disability Resources at Washington University in St. Louis. In this role, he leads institutional efforts to advance access, equity, and inclusion for students with disabilities.
Throughout his career, Dr. Stone has held positions in student affairs, academic advising, and disability services—consistently working to ensure that students receive the accommodations and support needed to thrive. He also collaborates closely with faculty to strengthen their understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
“Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed,” Dr. Stone says. “Part of my job is making sure they have what they need to do that.”
Dr. Stone’s long-standing dedication to student success and inclusive education exemplifies the spirit of the World of Good Alumni Award and the impact of his leadership across higher education.
