Doc Students Collaborate on AI Mentor Pilot Project

GSEHD PhD students Heather Jorgenson (Curriculum & Instruction), Chenxi Zhou (Curriculum & Instruction), Mariam Alothman (Human-Tech Collaboration), and Ani Meliksetyan (Human-Tech Collaboration) collaborated with Dr. Ryan Watkins and SEAS colleagues to conduct research on an AI Mentor pilot project. The students worked with 16 faculty from across GW schools to integrate customizable GenerativeAI tools (such as, ChatGPT augmented with course readings and syllabus) into their courses during the Spring 2025 semester. The research team observed, interviewed, and surveyed faculty and students to learn more about how course-specific AI can be used across disciplines.
