GSEHD faculty member Dr. Michael Feuer has launched FDE Listening Room, a new podcast connected to the Forum on Democracy and Education (FDE), an initiative that explores how education can strengthen democratic institutions and civic life.
The podcast brings together leading voices in education policy, research, and public service to examine the intersections of research, policy, and practice and their collective role in supporting a healthy democracy. Through conversations with scholars, policymakers, and practitioners, FDE Listening Room aims to foster thoughtful dialogue on some of the most pressing issues facing education today.
The inaugural episode, “Michael Feuer and Michael Kirst: Progress in Educational Outcomes,” features a conversation between Dr. Feuer and noted education scholar and policy leader Michael Kirst. Together, they discuss progress in educational achievement and the challenges and opportunities that continue to shape education policy and practice.
The podcast extends the mission of the Forum on Democracy and Education, which serves as a platform for interdisciplinary inquiry and public engagement on the relationship between education and democratic life.
