Assessing the Impact of Organizational Change

The course focuses on the process of implementing change as the key aspect and basic challenge in managing organizational change. Knowledge and skills needed to evaluate the impact and return on investment of organizational change efforts. Most importantly, this course focuses on how to plan and conduct systematic evaluations of change efforts, including the choice, development, and use of various tools and methodologies for measuring interventions at the  individual, group, and organizational level of analysis.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe how assessment and evaluation efforts impact business and change strategy
  • Describe key models, theories, strategies, and underlying assumptions of evaluation/assessment practice
  • Choose appropriate assessment /evaluation designs to study the impact of organizational change efforts
  • Design and critique an assessment or evaluation plan
  • Discuss key assessment/ evaluation issues (e.g. gaining organization support, practicing ethical standards)
