Evidence-Based Action Research for School Improvement

Students will apply knowledge learned in prior coursework to design and implement an evidence‐based action research project to address an area of instructional need in a school or central office setting.

Learning Objectives

  • Utilize multiple forms of evidence to design, address and evaluate the impact of the change facilitated
  • Design and lead a process of improvement that is focused on addressing a designated need
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to design and implement an action plan
  • Gather and utilize empirical research to inform the design of the project and understand the results
