The master’s program in rehabilitation counseling prepares highly knowledgeable students to become professional practitioners to assist persons who are physically, mentally, emotionally, or socially disabled to become empowered and to assume to resume their place in society.
As graduates of the Rehabilitation Counseling program, students will be prepared to work in a variety of settings; the typical categories being public, private non-profit, and private for-profit rehabilitation settings. Typical settings in which rehabilitation counselors are employed include: state/federal vocational rehabilitation agencies, private rehabilitation agencies, insurance companies, independent living centers, employee assistance programs within a corporation, job training centers. Rehabilitation counselors commonly work with community-based rehabilitation agencies, which often focus on specialized populations such as individuals who have developmental disabilities, chronic mental health issues, or specific medical disabilities such as HIV/AIDS. Rehabilitation counselors may also be employed in non-traditional settings such as in community counseling agencies, substance abuse agencies, and human resource departments.

LPC Eligibility criteria varies across states; our students qualify automatically for those requiring a 48-hour MA degree, but we offer extra courses for students applying in states that require a 60-hour program.
