GSEHD Power Lunch: "A Perfect Pair: Assessment & Service-Learning"

In celebration of Service-Learning Week, the GSEHD Office of Career Services and the GW Center for Civic Engagement & Public Service invite the community to attend a Valentine's Day conversation about the pairing of assessment and service-learning. GW places a high value on service and many students, faculty, and staff members engage in service-learning opportunities on a regular basis. During this time of scarce resources in higher education and growing interest in accountability, it is important for service-learning leaders to articulate the goals and outcomes of such activities. Conducting meaningful assessment of service-learning is one way to monitor successes, identify growth opportunities, and understand the effect such activities have on human and community development. During this lunchtime conversation, a group of service-learning and assessment professionals will discuss the pairing of these two concepts.
