The GW Office of Fellowship and Graduate Student Support maintains fellowship information for current students, newly-admitted students and GW alumni. Most awards require application up to a year in advance. The Fellowship Office is located in Rice Hall, Room 603, 2121 Eye St., N.W., (202) 994-6828, www.gwu.edu/~fellows/fellows.html.
The Career and Cooperative Education Office arranges cooperative education opportunities, an integration of academic study with paid, career-related work experience. The service is available to on-campus degree candidates. For further information contact the Graduate School of Education and Human Development Career and Cooperative Education Counselor at (202) 994-6495.
The GW Human Resource Services Office maintains a listing of all regular and part-time GW positions at www.gwu.edu/~hrs. Applicants must apply in person to 2033 K Street, N.W., Suite 220, (202) 994-6600. Tuition benefits are available after successful completion of three months of employment. Jobs are also posted in the Career Center's Student Employment Office, 1922 F Street, N.W., (202) 994-6495 and on the Web at gwired.gwu.edu/career/.
Colonial Central brings together in a friendly, centralized, service-culture setting the offices of Student Financial Assistance, Student Accounts, and the Cashier.
• Tuition and Fees
• The Student Accounts Office offers various Tuition Payment Plans. The Office is located in Rome Hall, 801 22nd Street, N.W. (202) 994-7350.
• The Office of Student Financial Assistance mails loan and complete application information packets on or before March 1 to applicants who indicated on their application forms an interest in a loan or work-study program. If packets are not received after the first week of March, contact the Office in Rice Hall, Room 310, 2121 Eye Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. (202) 994-6620, toll-free 1-(800) 222-6242, fax (202) 994-0906 or email finaid@gwu.edu. Student/spouse-signed last-year tax returns and schedules and W-2s are required for some loan programs. May 1 is the priority deadline to be first certified as eligible. June 1 is a second deadline to be met for receipt of funds by fall registration. Loan applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor, entering in Section G: "Geo. Washington U. -001444, 2121 Eye St., NW, Washington, D.C."
• Other Loan Programs include the Federal Stafford Loan Program, Excel/Gradexcel or TERI/PEP, and Perkins Loans and the Federal Work-Study Program. Complete information about these loan programs is included in the packet sent by the GW Financial Assistance Office. |
